SHANA BLAKLEY
Shana is a Virginia-born, self-taught abstract artist who has been creating across many mediums since childhood. She has always had an incredible passion for illustrating and painting, but turned toward it as a calming outlet for grief and vehicle for self-discovery. Shana enjoys everything about the creation process—from thinking about materials and composition, to interpreting colors and shapes from daily life, to the tactile and visual satisfactions of seeing something through to completion. She believes we all need our own senses of meaningful quietness in the world, and creating is hers. Shana currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with her partner Matt, son Hue, and the warmth and color of their late son October.
