“These soft florals were painted using ink I made from onion peel scraps. The whole experience from ink-making to painting was rooted in slowing down. Taking a moment out of my busy everyday to experiment and create something from scratch was very gratifying. Anee (pronounced 'uh-nee') is a scientist-turned-artist and surface designer. After working in corporate biotech for over a decade, she decided to trade pipettes for paintbrushes. Inspired by slow living and nostalgia, she creates art that evokes the warm fuzzies, a sense of calm and fond memories of the good old days. Anee lives just outside of Boston, MA with her husband and two children.
